Synthetic Water

PERMANENTLY REPLACES
Conventional Water as Coolant / Antifreeze dilutant

SynLube™ Lube‑4‑Life® Synthetic Water (Distilled Water Substitute) is a 100% synthetic based fluid that has been formulated to suit all coolants that require a Distilled Water as dilutant fluid.

SynLube™ Lube‑4‑Life® Synthetic Water also contains enhanced anti-corrosion and anti foam additives to ensure optimum protection. It is an excellent everyday choice for all climatic conditions when mixed as required with any Coolant / Antifreeze concentrate.

Cooling systems in modern vehicles are now generally very reliable and failures are rare, so preventative maintenance is often neglected.

Manufacturers rarely mention Cooling system maintenance in their service schedules.

However a little preventative maintenance goes a long way to ensuring trouble free operation and long service life. Inspections should be carried out at each service.

Fluid level should be checked and the fluid should also be checked for cleanliness.

If the fluid is dirty it should be changed, as dirt and sludge and "green goo" are major threats to smooth operation. Also, drive belts should be checked for condition and correct tension. Pulleys, mounting brackets and hoses should be checked for condition as well.

Cooling systems in modern cars typically contain only a minimal volume of Coolant / Antifreeze fluid, and that fluid is subjected to quite harsh conditions, particularly heat, air entrapment, corrosion and contamination.

Removing original OEM Coolant / Antifreeze before it is old, dirty and degraded is the only way that will significantly extend the life of the entire Cooling system, and will prevent engine overheating.

What is Synthetic Water ?

A water molecule (formally known as dihydrogen monoxide) is composed of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. But you can't simply take two hydrogen atoms and stick them onto an oxygen atom.

The actual reaction to make water is a bit more complicated:
2H2 + O2 = 2H2O + Energy of 572 kJ.

In English, the equation says: To produce two molecules of water (H2O), two molecules of diatomic hydrogen (H2) must be combined with one molecule of diatomic oxygen (O2). Energy will be released in the process.

This reaction (2H2 + O2 = 2H2O + Energy) has been known for two centuries.

This exothermic reaction yields 232 kJ/mol of water formed.

The reaction itself however must be initiated by excess energy, just mixing 2H2 and O2 together does not accomplish anything, the two gases will intermingle but the molecules will forever remain as H2 and O2.

The easiest and fastest way to introduce this necessary "excess energy" into the mixture of H2 and O2 is high energy electrical spark.

While this also sounds simple, the problem is that even extremely small volumes of mixed H2 and O2 generate extreme amount of energy, so quickly that it can only be described as "explosion".

In fact there is not a more powerful explosive known to man than H2 and O2 mix, one reason why NASA has been using it as main engine rocket fuel for the Space Shuttle.

When the H2 and O2 mix is ignited by excess energy such as spark the temperature reaches 3,315°C (6,000°F), higher than the boiling point of iron in just under 3 milliseconds.

So while in theory water molecules were just created, in reality it is super heated steam, which rapidly expands to the environment, or if contained creates enormous "explosive" pressure rise.

Therefore the "art" of making of Synthetic Water in commercially feasible fashion is to do so without melting everything in sight and/or blowing it up at the same time, thus needles to say the way SynLube Incorporated makes Synthetic Water is well guarded "trade secret" and the manufacturing equipment is proprietary.

The actual process has been developed by German Rocket Scientist Wernher von Braun and licensed exclusively to SynLube in 1969.
